A potential Canada Post strike may impact mail delivery services in the coming days. Please review the following important information to avoid disruptions to your support payments.
Making Support Payments
Support payments must continue to be made, even if postal services are disrupted.
Electronic Payment Options
To avoid delays, we recommend using electronic payment methods:
- Online Banking, Telebanking, or Western Union
- Visit Online Banking for Payors for instructions
- Notice of Attachment (NOA) Payments
- Visit Sending NOA Payments for details on submitting NOA payments online
Direct Deposit for Employers
Employers submitting 5 or more NOA payments per pay period can now use direct deposit with BCFMA. To qualify, employers must:
- Send one bundled amount for all NOA payments
- Email a remittance to BCFMA with:
- Case ID
- Recipient and payor names
- Amount of support deducted
Please contact our office to set up direct deposit.
Receiving Support Payments
If you are expecting to receive a support payment by cheque, we recommend you sign up for Direct Deposit to avoid potential delays due to mail disruptions.
